　　until可以用作介詞和連詞，可以翻譯為到…為止、在…以前等等。

用法

　　1、 until用在肯定句，謂語動詞通常是延續(xù)性動詞。

　　2、用在否定句，謂語動詞通常是瞬間性動詞。

　　3、連詞until引導(dǎo)的從句中謂語動詞的時(shí)態(tài)。

　　4、主句的謂語動詞為一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)或一般將來時(shí)時(shí)。 until從句中的謂語動詞為現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)，用來強(qiáng)調(diào)從句謂語動詞表示的動作，發(fā)生在主句謂語動詞表示的動作之前。

　　5、主句中的謂語動詞為一般過去時(shí)時(shí)，從句中的謂語動詞為過去完成時(shí)，用來強(qiáng)調(diào)從句謂語動詞的動作，發(fā)生在主句謂語動詞表示的動作之前。

　　until 與till 的區(qū)別

　　(1)在句首時(shí)多用until 。例如：

　　Until then I had known nothing about it.

　　(2)在from … till … 這一詞組里，用till比用until普通，但也可用until。例如：

　　I worked from morning till late at night.

　　There was a beautiful Mozart concert on the radio from six o′clock until a quarter past seven.

　　(3)在“good—bye till …”及“up till…”中，till不能用until 替代。例如：

　　Yes, we can help one another. Good–bye till then.

　　I’ve lived in the country all my life up till now.
