The dean of Engineering had once walked into a class, and said "Good Morning".
The whole class chorused "Good Morning".
"Hi, you are freshmen, aren't you?" he asked.
One student bolder than the others asked him how he knew.
"Well," he said. "When I say 'Good Morning' to a class, if they are freshmen they say 'Good Morning' too. If they are sophomores, they quietly fold their papers away, and look at me. A class of juniors will look at me over the top of their papers, and then get back to them. A class of seniors will ignore my greeting, and keep reading the papers. When I say 'Good Morning' to a class of graduate students, they write it down."

A school teacher friend of mine in juried his back and had to wear a plaster cast around the upper part of his body.
On his first day of the term, still with the cast under his shirt, he was assigned to teach the most undisciplined class. Stepping confidently into the rowdy classroom, he opened the window as wide as possible. Just then, a strong breeze made his tie flap. Trying to fix the tie, he took a blackboard eraser and hammered a large tack through his tie into his chest.
He had no trouble with discipline that term.
我的一位做教師的朋友背部受了傷,不得不在上身穿上了石膏罩。

A professor stood before his class of 20 senior organic biology students, about to hand out the final exam.
"I want to say that it's been a pleasure teaching you this semester. I know you've all worked extremely hard and many of you are off to medical school after summer. So that no one gets their GPA messed up because they might have been celebrating a bit too much this week, anyone who would like to opt out of the final exam today will receive a 'B' for the course."
There was much rejoicing amongst the class as students got up, passed by the professor to thank him and sign out on his offer. As the last taker left the room, the professor looked out over the handful of remaining students and asked, "Any one else? This is your last chance." One final student rose up and took the offer.
The professor closed the door and took attendance of those students remaining. "I'm glad to see you believe in yourself." he said. "You all have 'A' s."

教授關(guān)上門(mén),清點(diǎn)了一下剩余的同學(xué),說(shuō)道:“我非常高興看到你們能夠相信自己,你們都得‘A’。”
