大學(xué)生就業(yè)英文文章:關(guān)于就業(yè)
Job hunting has always been a headache for college students. Though many graduates are employed right after graduation, some are not. Most serious of all, some still have no idea where to go working even a long time after graduation.
The reasons for this phenomenon are various. On the one hand, a few years ago colleges and universities enrolled so many students in popular majors, such as economy, finance and so on that the number of graduates was greater than the need in the market. On the other hand, most graduates would rather stay in large cities without suitable job to do than go to the country.
I reckon this problem can be solved if both colleges and students take measures. First, they should research the market and develop special skills to suit its need. Second, students’attitude towards employment should be changed. They should go to small cities and country. There they can also give full play to their professional knowledge. In a word, if we pay much attention, the situation can be improved.
大學(xué)生就業(yè)英文文章:研究生就業(yè)與學(xué)習(xí)前景
As four years of undergraduate studies come to a close, every college student must decide whether to venture into the working world or seek or postgraduate education. In the past, students who were financially secure would routinely apply for master’s studies. Today, however, many students are asking themselves: Will an advanced degree improve my job prospects? The answer is: It depends.
One potential benefit of holding an advanced degree is that it can lead to a higher salary or a more senior position. In some cases, a master’s degree or higher may be required for an applicant to even be considered for a position. Many employers are willing to shell out extra money for the valuable skills and in-depth knowledge that job candidates with a postgraduate background bring to the table. As a result of the skills acquired during their studies, even those graduate degree holders who initially accept relatively junior positions are likely to be promoted and climb up the corporate ladder faster than their peers.
Securing a higher salary or a more senior position is not the only benefit of postgraduate studies. Many undergrads have very little idea of what kind of career path they wish to take after graduation. Graduates of undergraduate business programs, for example, may not know whether to pursue a career in marketing, accounting or human resources. In the process of earning an advanced degree, students have more opportunity to narrow and define their interests and career objectives. This can empower them with a greater focus and a better understanding of their field than undergraduate degree holders who struggle to find their way in the working world.
Despite their potential advantages, postgraduate degrees do not always enhance students’ job prospects. For one, some employers prefer to hire less-qualified candidates in order to save costs. A company might choose an applicant with an undergraduate degree over one with postgraduate degree, assuming the two applicants had similar skills. Past work experience, too, has become increasingly important to employers, many of whom would prefer to place an experienced BBA graduate in charge of an important account rather than an inexperienced MBA. Finally, an advanced degree from a phony or non-accredited online college may also detract, rather than enhance, employability.
In conclusion, pursuing an advanced degree represents a major financial and time commitment. Whether graduate studies are a worthwhile investment depends on several factors, including one’s academic major, work experience and career goals. To minimize the possibility of future regret, students should weigh their options and make their choice rationally, not randomly.
大學(xué)生就業(yè)英文文章:大學(xué)生就業(yè)僵局
Nowadays, the employment of college students is becoming more and more of a problem. About a decade ago, university students could find satisfactory and enviable jobs after graduation, while at current situation, about 30% of graduate students can’t find a job but stay at home after graduation.
Employment difficulty of college students is due to the following reasons. Among these, the increasing recruitment of colleges and universities plays a vital role. In addition, many colleges and universities fail to adapt their courses to the development of economy.
Considering such a rough job market, I think it is high time that we took effective measures to solve the problem. Above all, college students should realize their own defects and further improve themselves to keep their competitive edge in society. Moreover, colleges or universities should provide more trainings and internship opportunities before the students enter the society. Besides, college students should hold a right attitude towards jobs and set their job expectations at a suitable level. Only through these ways can the college students find a satisfactory job and have a brighter future.
