　　For most western countries, Christmas Day is the biggest festival, and all the people will have the long vacation, just as Spring Festival in China. With the development of globalization, Christmas Day is celebrated by people around the world. When the day comes, Christmas trees can be seen in many shops and some products have the great discounts. One of the main reasons for people to love Christmas is that they can get the great discounts from some products, which saves them a lot of money. For American people, Christmas Day is the great moment for the families to get together and enjoy the family hour, while for some people they just treat it as the shopping day.

　　潑水節(jié)Water-splashing Festival

　　Water-splashing Festival is one of the most important festivals in the world, which is popular among Dai people of China and the southeast Asia. It has been celebrated by people for more than 700 years and now this festival is an necessary way for people to promote the cooperation and communication among countries.

　　Water-splashing Festival is celebrated during April. It always lasts for three to seven days. People will pour the clean water to each other, which means to wash away the unhappiness and the bad luck during the last year, so the good things will be around. The more water people get, the more luck they will get in the coming year. So though people scream, they feel the great joy.

　　This festival is popular in Thailand and Dai people of China, who share the same meaning of this big day. The common festival promotes the communication between countries. The State Council has preserved this festival as the intangible cultural heritage, which attache the importance to the variety of traditional culture.

　　潑水節(jié)是世界上最重要節(jié)日之一，深受中國(guó)傣族和東南亞人民的喜愛(ài)。七百多年來(lái)，人們一直在慶祝這個(gè)節(jié)日，現(xiàn)在這個(gè)節(jié)日是促進(jìn)國(guó)家間合作和交流的必要方式。

　　潑水節(jié)是在四月舉行的，持續(xù)3到7天。人們會(huì)把干凈的水潑向彼此，這個(gè)意義在于洗去去年的不快樂(lè)和霉運(yùn)，而好運(yùn)環(huán)繞。人們得到的水越多，他們?cè)趤?lái)年的運(yùn)氣就會(huì)越好，所以盡管大家都在尖叫，但是他們確實(shí)非常的快樂(lè)。

　　世界水日World Water Day

　　Though people have been always educated to save water, we can see they waste water all the time. For example, sometimes I can see children wash their hands for a long time and when they go away, they always forget to close the faucet. The most common situation I see is in the public toilet that people just walk away after using faucet and they don’t meant to close it. They are wasting water and they should be condemned. Water conservation is in need because in most part of the world, people don’t have enough water and we need water to keep alive. On March 22nd , which is a day to call for the public to save water, if not, we will face the emergent situation. So it is everybody’s duty not to waste water.

　　雖然人們一直都受到教育要節(jié)約用水，但是我們總是會(huì)看到人們?cè)诶速M(fèi)水。比如，有時(shí)我會(huì)看到有些小孩子洗手洗了很長(zhǎng)時(shí)間，而且離開(kāi)的時(shí)候，總是忘記關(guān)閉水龍頭。我看到最常見(jiàn)的情況是在公共廁所里，使用完后就直接離開(kāi)了，完全沒(méi)有要關(guān)水龍頭的意識(shí)。他們浪費(fèi)水，應(yīng)該要受到譴責(zé)。我們需要節(jié)約用水，因?yàn)樵谑澜绲拇蟛糠值貐^(qū)都是水資源缺乏的，我們需要水來(lái)維持生命。而3月22號(hào)這一天，人們呼吁所有人節(jié)約用水，否則，我們將面臨嚴(yán)重的缺水情況。每個(gè)人都有義務(wù)節(jié)約用水。
