一、基本意思不同：

1、cease : 指逐漸、徐徐中止某種狀態(tài)的存百在。書面用詞。

2、halt : 側(cè)重突然地、決定性地終止、停止某一活動(dòng)。度

二、知詞性不同：

1、cease：可以接名詞，也可以接動(dòng)詞的不定式或動(dòng)名詞。

2、halt：既可作動(dòng)詞、名詞，也可作形容詞。

三、同道時(shí)作動(dòng)詞時(shí)，用法不同：
