心理學(xué)家皮亞杰曾經(jīng)說過，“一切有效的工作必須以某種興趣為先決條件”。 英語學(xué)習(xí)更是如此。在中國，英語是屬于外來語，小學(xué)生要長期保持學(xué)習(xí)的學(xué)習(xí)興趣并非易事。它需要小學(xué)英語老師認(rèn)真研究教學(xué)方法，研究小學(xué)生的生理、心理特點(diǎn)以及英語學(xué)習(xí)的規(guī)律。對于小學(xué)生來說，最初接觸英語時(shí)都比較感興趣。因?yàn)閷τ诔鯇W(xué)英語的小學(xué)生來說，英語實(shí)在是太新奇了。隨著時(shí)間的推移，一部分小學(xué)生開始失去興趣，學(xué)生對學(xué)習(xí)英語的動(dòng)力減弱了，再加上學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù)的加重，記單詞等任務(wù)的乏味，小學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語就變得沒勁了。因此，在小學(xué)英語教學(xué)中，把學(xué)生對英語的學(xué)習(xí)興趣的培養(yǎng)應(yīng)放在重要的位置。游戲是提高學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)興趣的一種途徑。
在我設(shè)計(jì)的這堂課中，我使用了兩個(gè)游戲。第一個(gè)是簡單的傳話游戲。我先讓學(xué)生們安靜，悄悄地告訴第一個(gè)學(xué)生一句話 “Is it on your desk?” 或“Is it in your desk?” 并讓學(xué)生悄悄地把這句話傳到后面的學(xué)生。最快把話傳到最后的學(xué)生并準(zhǔn)確地說出來的一組為勝。這游戲的目的是讓每個(gè)學(xué)生有機(jī)會(huì)機(jī)械地練習(xí)所學(xué)的句型。第二個(gè)游戲是先讓學(xué)生閉上眼睛，一個(gè)學(xué)生把文具藏起來，并讓其他的學(xué)生用所學(xué)的句型找出文具。在這個(gè)游戲中，學(xué)生可以在我設(shè)計(jì)的情景中運(yùn)用所學(xué)的語言，并在原來的句型上加以擴(kuò)展，如Is it in your bag/ pencil case?等。小學(xué)生好勝心強(qiáng)，集體榮譽(yù)感也強(qiáng)。我在游戲中開展一些競賽活動(dòng)，既可以更好地調(diào)動(dòng)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)積極性，又可以培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的競爭意識(shí)。
對于小學(xué)生來說，游戲教學(xué)是有趣的，對學(xué)習(xí)是很有幫助的。因?yàn)橛螒虿坏怯腥さ?，而且游戲提供給學(xué)生一個(gè)開口說英語的欲望，連平時(shí)很少說話的學(xué)生都參與到游戲中，并大膽地說幾句。在課堂上善用游戲能幫助學(xué)生練習(xí)英語的聽、說，詞匯和句型，并在課堂上形成一種良好的學(xué)習(xí)氣氛，在小學(xué)英語教學(xué)中的作用不可估量。游戲不僅是提高小學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)興趣的途徑，也是提供給學(xué)生用語言交際的一種途徑。
