An Alabama elementary school student wasaccidentally shot in the hand last Monday afterbringing a gun to school.
上周一，在阿拉巴馬州一名小學生攜帶槍支上學后，不慎發(fā)生了意外走火。
Huntsville Police Chief Mark McMurray told newsoutlets a "small student" brought the gun to schoolat Blossomwood Elementary School in Huntsville.
亨茨維爾警察局局長馬克·麥克默里向媒體透露，一名低年級小學生將槍支帶到了亨茨維爾的布勞伍迪小學。
Police said the student had been showing the gun toother students when it went off, shooting him in the hand. McMurray said the child was not "seriously harmed."
警方稱，這名學生是在向其他同學展示槍支時意外發(fā)生的走火，其手部被射傷了。麥克默里表示，好在這名孩子的傷勢并不太嚴重。
McMurray said it appears to be an accidental shooting. He said there was "no intent to harmanyone."
麥克默里稱，整個事件應該屬于一次意外走火。這名孩子沒有故意傷害他人的目的。
He urged parents to keep their guns secured at home.
他呼吁父母應該將家中槍支放在安全的地方。
"If you have a weapon in your house, there is nothing wrong with that, but you do need tosafeguard it. You need to lock these weapons down."
“如果你的家里有槍支武器，其實并沒有什么不妥，不過你需要管好這些武器。你需要把這些武器鎖起來。”
The school system did not release the children's age or grade. The school serves students up tofifth grade.

Ma Dongmin, co-founder and vice-president ofChinese internet giant Baidu, has donated 100 million yuan (.5 million) to the University ofScience and Technology of China.

The money, from Ma's own pocket, will be used tosupport the university in several areas, includingdevelopment of the School of the Gifted Young, according to a news release last Sunday.

The university said it is the largest donation made by any individual in its 60-year history.

Ma was enrolled in the Class of the Gifted Young at USTC -- based in Ma's hometown of Hefei, Anhui province -- in 1985 at age 15.

She went to the United States for further education after five years of undergraduate studies atUSTC and gained a PhD.
